Sustainability
1. Sustainability in Materials
We've partnered with Caspar Create, a Croatian based company known for its commitment to high-quality digital printing, sustainability, and slow fashion. Their focus on using environmentally friendly materials aligns perfectly with out values, which is why we chose them as our primary provider for both materials and printing.
By sourcing our materials from them, we ensure they are certified organic and meet either the OEKO-TEX® ECO PASSPORT or GOTS certification standards, depending on the material.
-
What is OEKO-TEX® ECO PASSPORT?
Chemicals, colourants and auxiliaries that meet the OEKO-TEX® ECO PASSPORT standard have been tested and analysed against strict criteria, for a lower environmental impact.
All our prints are made with ecologically friendly water-based dyes and biodegradable inks which are non-hazardous, toxin-free and certified with an OEKO-TEX Eco Passport.
-
What is GOTS certificate?
GOTS is known as the world’s leading standard for organic textiles. It defines strict ecological criteria throughout the supply chain of organic textiles and requires compliance with social criteria. The use of organic fibers from organic production, the introduction of adequate wages, the elimination of toxic and environmentally harmful substances, is only a small excerpt from the binding GOTS criteria.
2. Sustainability in the Process
We work on a PREORDER basis
-
How does it work?
At The Other Ones, we operate on a preorder basis, producing each piece of clothing only after it's ordered to ensure we minimize waste and use materials responsibly.
-
By tailoring our production to meet actual demand, we avoid the pitfalls of overproduction, making a positive impact on the environment while providing you with unique, high-quality clothing that’s made just for you.
Order
This step is easy. If you found something that captured your eye and made you feel like it's perfect for expressing your beautiful self, simply place an order. Placing an order is equivalent to buying an item and you will be charged right away.
Production
After you have placed an order, we send the information to our sewing humans and they start producing your clothes. This phase usually takes from 7 to 10 days. But all you have to do is sit back and relax. We will let you know when the production is done.
3. Sustainability in Print
No placement print
-
What does this mean?
We celebrate the beauty of authenticity by embracing non-placement prints. This means that no two pieces of our clothing look exactly the same, as the prints vary on each garment. By not adhering to specific print placements, we minimize material waste and ensure that each item is a one-of-a-kind creation, reflecting our dedication to both environmental responsibility and personal expression.
